The Property Advertising Joint Venture – an expert property and lifestyle publishing and marketing company that has been in the business for 18 years – commissioned Si Futures to provide email, desktop support and web hosting services. Some of their staff were unable to connect to their accounting system which runs on a SAP Virtual Machine to issue invoices at month end. This was about to have a substantial impact on their business.
Part of the SI Futures ethos is that we are committed to our clients’ success, and although the problem was not related to the services we provide to them, our Service Delivery specialist, Tian van der Spuy, didn’t hesitate to help out. After logging into the server, Tian identified that capacity was low and cleared temporary files to solve the immediate problem. Crisis averted!
In the following days, Tian worked with The Property Advertising Joint Venture team to remove redundant files from the server onto a backup device to ensure the continued stability of the server.
By demonstrating the support and capability of Si Futures to The Property Advertising Joint Venture, they have subsequently approached us to assess the situation and we are currently working together on a way forward to best meet the needs of their business.
